Ready Aye Ready, the second instalment of The Quiet War series, expands the conflict beyond Canada’s borders. As sovereignty hangs in the balance, the legacy of Crown and Empire rises to meet it, igniting the most gripping naval standoff since the Cuban Missile Crisis. With the odds stacked against them, old allies must come together once more, proving that history’s strongest bonds are forged in the fires of adversity.
Ready Aye Ready
An empire’s past. A nation’s future. A reckoning long in the making
A devastating attack leaves Canada’s government in tatters, throwing the country into turmoil at the worst possible moment. As political chaos grips the nation, only one man has both the authority and the solemn duty to intervene—His Majesty the King. In a moment that could define the course of history, the King must decide whether the legacy of Crown and Empire must rise again.
Seizing the moment, Al-Najm al-Saghir manipulates Russian President Konstantin Sokolov into challenging Canada’s sovereignty over the Northwest Passage. What begins as a diplomatic standoff quickly escalates into the most gripping naval confrontation since the Cuban Missile Crisis. With war looming, Canada finds itself isolated. The United States, bound by its long-standing refusal to recognize Canadian control over the Arctic passage, cannot intervene. The world watches, waiting to see if Canada will yield—or if it will stand firm against overwhelming odds.
As the crisis reaches its breaking point, one of its oldest and closest allies answers the call, invoking a legacy of shared sacrifice and unshakable bonds. Warships surge forward as diplomacy teeters on the edge of collapse, shifting the battle for Canada’s future from political chambers to the icy expanse of the North Atlantic. There, the Royal Navy and the Royal Canadian Navy prepare to face a familiar adversary—the Russian Navy—once more.
The Quiet War has reached a tipping point. The next move will determine more than just Canada’s survival—it will reshape the balance of power for years to come. History will remember who stood ready.
